Viele Jungs „verwachsen“ ihr Übergewicht in dieser Zeit, ohne ihre Ernährung wirklich umzustellen. Sie essen weiterhin wie ein „Scheunendrescher“, aber das Wachstum schluckt die Kalorien. Und nun mit 19 Jahren ist das Längenwachstum abgeschlossen. Der Metabolismus lässt nach. Er futtert genauso viel Essen, aber hat weniger Sport als in der Schulzeit, so schlägt die Energiebilanz sofort ins Negative um, und das Fett lagert sich schnell an.
