Da ist aber jemand aufgegangen wie Hefeteig.
Someone has really risen like yeast dough.
This guest had disappeared without a trace at the end of his vacation...
... in the stomachs of the locals.
“It's just the yeast in the beer that's made my belly so bloated.”
It was a day like any other in Kevin and Dennis' lives - a day full of hard work. Hard work not to move. The evening was young, the beer crate half empty (or half full, depending on your philosophy), and the last time either of them had left the couch was to pick up the remote control - a physical feat of strength that briefly brought sweat to their foreheads.
The two of them had dug themselves firmly into the throne chairs of lethargy, proudly displaying their paunches of wealth like two gladiators gazing at their spoils after an epic battle - in this case, a pallet of frozen pizza and a selection of subtly chosen discount beers.
“Bro, I think I'm starting to take the shape of that armchair,” Kevin muttered as he brought his glass to his mouth with the last of his strength.
“Oh come on, it's not the shape of the armchair, it's evolutionary adaptation!” replied Dennis as he scratched at his faded T-shirt with difficulty. “We'll probably grow armrests in a few years.”
A muffled belch confirmed this theory.
Life was raging outside. People were jogging, going to work, reading books, falling in love. But here, in this temple of inertia, Kevin and Dennis had stopped time. They weren't just there - they existed in their fullest form. The world continued to turn, but Newton's law applied to them: a body at rest stays at rest.
“Do you think we should get moving again?” Kevin asked lazily.
Dennis thought about it for a moment. Then he slowly, solemnly raised his beer glass. “Cheers to the idea. Maybe tomorrow.”
ihn richtig aufgehen lassen. Er passt mittlerweile kaum noch in seine Badehose.
Es gibt hier im Ressort durchgängig Buffet, nicht nur zu den Mahlzeiten. Klar
dass unser Junior durchgängig frisst. Und ein Animateur hat ihn sogar dafür
gelobt wieviel er verdrücken kann. Wir können seinem Körper beim schwabbelig
aufquellen regelrecht zuschauen.
We wanted to keep it simple this year, save ourselves the stress of preparing for Christmas and flew away on vacation. Our son wasn't quite as slim as we thought he would be without a sweater, but the Christmas eating and the hotel buffet really made him puff up. He now barely fits into his swimming trunks. There is a buffet here at the resort all the time, not just at mealtimes. It goes without saying that our junior eats all the time. And an animator even praised him for how much he can eat. We can literally watch his body swell up flabby.
Boy is just realizing that he shouldn't have been sitting in front of the computer all the time. He has become a real fat balloon.
„Ich habe in den ersten neun Monaten meines Studiums 14 Kilo zugenommen, aber ich bin doch nicht fett, oder - allenfalls etwas vollschlank.“
Dieser dralle Junge ist aufgedunsen wie eine Hefebuchtel.
My little brother munched so much that he turned into a yeast dumpling during the Easter break.
