Ich hatte heute ein sehr absurdes Erlebnis. Ein junger Mann kam in unseren Laden für Übergrößen. Er schaute sich erst etwas um, als ich auf ihn zukam um ihm zu helfen zu finden was er suchte meinte der Bursche: „Ich bin noch nicht groß und rund genug, dass mir was von euch passt.“ Er präsentierte seinen Bauch. „Aber bald werde ich da reinwachsen.“
Wir hatten einige Gutscheine von der Imbissbude in der Nähe zu Werbezwecken ausliegen – man hilft sich ja gegenseitig unter kleinen Gewerbetreibenden – mit sehr fettigem Essen. Davon gab ich ihm etliche mit. „Hier damit es nicht zu lange dauert, bis sie unser Kunde sind.“

I had a very bizarre experience today. A young man came into our plus-size shop. He looked around for a bit, and when I approached him to help him find what he was looking for, the lad said: "I’m not big and round enough yet for your stuff to fit me." He showed off his belly. We had some coupons for the nearby snack bar lying out for promotional purposes – small business owners helping each other out, you know – which serves very greasy food. I gave him a whole bunch of them. "Here, so it doesn’t take too long before you become a customer of ours."
