„Mein Onkel besitzt die Magellanreederei, und alle meine Geschwister und Cousins, Cousinen durften einen Sommerferienjob auf einem der Kreuzfahrtschiffe machen. Nur ich nicht! Mein Onkel meinte, für alle Jobs, die er hätte, sei ich nicht gut genug in der Schule oder zu unfit. Da hat ihm mein Vater noch ins Gewissen geredet und jetzt hat er doch noch was passendes für mich gefunden. Ich bin jetzt Verkoster. Den Job hat mein Onkel extra für mich eingerichtet.“
Oh mein Gott, wenn du schon so vor Dienstantritt aussiehst, ist das dicke Ende absehbar!
“My uncle owns the Magellan shipping company, and all my siblings and cousins were allowed to do a summer vacation job on one of the cruise ships. Except me! My uncle said I wasn't good enough at school or too unfit for all the jobs he had. My father talked him into it and now he has found something suitable for me after all. I'm now a taster. My uncle set up the job especially for me.”
