Lars hatte zwar die Warnung auf der Packungsbeilage gelesen, nicht mehr als 5 Stück des Wonka-Super-Duper-Kaugummies auf einmal zu essen, aber er wollte einen wirklich großen Kaugummi haben mit dem er Riesenblasen machen konnte. Als er ihn schließlich verschluckte, als er keinen Geschmack mehr hatte – dies war eine Angewohnheit von ihm, passierte es: Sein zuvor schon dicklicher Körper blähte sich zu seinem Schrecken immer mehr auf. Zuerst platze das Hemd dann machte es „peng“ und Lars war schließlich geplatzt. Als seine Mutter von dem Geräusch im Bad aufschreckte. „Was war das für ein Knall im Bad?“ Spottete noch Lars Bruder: „Ach das wird Lars gewesen sein, der futtert doch immer Süßigkeiten und jetzt hat mein dicker Bruder zu viel gegessen und ist geplatzt.“
