Als ich meinen Sohn so träge und faul  im Sofa fläzen sah, fiel es mir wie Schuppen von den Augen: Er war kein schlaksiger Knabe mehr. Der Bursche war in die Breite gegangen und bekam Bauch. Als ich ihn ermahnte, er solle sich mal bewegen und das ganze Junkfood, dass er in sich hineinstopft, sei auch nicht gesund für ihn, verdrehte er nur die Augen. Daraufhin sagte ich klar zu ihm. „Du hast ganz schön zugenommen und wirst langsam dick.“ Da schrie er aufgebracht: „Sag mal spinnst du jetzt komplett? Na klar habe ich zugenommen, ich bin jetzt endlich etwas breiter und kräftiger geworden und nicht mehr so schmal wie ein Lauch. Eine Lehrerin meinte zu mir, mein Körper habe aber ziemlich an Format gewonnen, ein Lehrer sagte, heutzutage seien die Jungs alle etwas stämmiger als damals zu seiner Zeit. Ein Mädchen aus meiner Klasse machte mir das Kompliment, mein Körper würde vor Männlichkeit schier überquellen und selbst die alte Schachtel von schräg gegenüber sprach davon, dass ich von meinem Aussehen vor Gesundheit nur so strotzen würde. Letztens meinte eine ältere Dame in der Straßenbahn zu mir. Ich sei ja ein ganz schön wohlgestalt…äh wie war das nochmal? … wohlgeformt? Nein, ich hab´s wohlbeleibter Junge!“
Er begreift es erst wenn er fett wie ein Mastschwein ist.

Das Doofe, man kann der Schule hier wenn man einmal den Plan für das Jahr festgelegt hat, auch für das zweite Semester nicht mehr einfach ändern. Und Schulsportklubs nehmen nur nach Leistung auf – angeboten hat man mir Billiard und Bowling.“
